El Instituto Mexicano del Cine da a conocer en el CECUT de Tijuana nuevas estrategias para impulsar la producción cinematográfica en todo el país, incluido Estados Unidos

** La directora del IMCINE, María Novaro, reconoce que hasta la fecha la mayor parte de los apoyos oficiales para la realización de películas se han quedado en la Ciudad de México.

TIJUANA, B.C.- Un ambicioso proyecto de descentralización de las tareas de difusión de los apoyos que ofrece el Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) a los realizadores de películas en el país se puso en marcha este viernes 26 de abril desde el Centro Cultural Tijuana, organismo de la Secretaría de Cultura, durante el arranque del foro “Hablemos de lo nuestro”.

Así lo dio conocer la titular de IMCINE, María Novaro, tras reconocer que hasta la fecha los recursos, apoyos y programas que maneja ese instituto “están sumamente centralizados, pues en su gran mayoría se han quedado en la Ciudad de México y eso no puede seguir así. Tenemos ahora el compromiso de descentralizar toda la labor que hace el IMCINE, y desarrollar el cine y el audiovisual en todo el país, incluyendo en ello a cineastas de mexicanos que viven en Los Ángeles y otras ciudades estadounidenses”, aseguró la directora de “El jardín del Edén”, película filmada hace 25 años en Tijuana, minutos después de que la directora general del CECUT, Dra. Vianka R. Santana, diera la bienvenida al foro que durante dos días sesionará en la institución.

“Estamos muy honrados de ser la sede de arranque de este programa tan importante”, afirmó la Dra. Santana al explicar que “en esta nueva administración del Centro Cultural Tijuana nos hemos comprometido con mostrar el trabajo de nuestros artistas de excelencia. Más allá de traer los grandes espectáculos o realizadores a la ciudad, nos interesa, en primer término, que sean nuestros artistas, nuestros realizadores, nuestros intelectuales, los que salgan y muestren a México y a los ojos del mundo todo este intenso trabajo que se realiza en el ámbito local”.

Puntualizó que “las artes visuales y la cinematografía que se producen en la región se han convertido en los últimos años en referentes a nivel nacional, por lo que estamos muy comprometidos con apoyarlos y próximamente van a tener noticias de nuevos programas del CECUT que están muy en sintonía con esta nueva visión de país que es la Cuarta Transformación”.

La Dra. Santana agradeció la presencia de la directora general de IMCINE y su equipo, así como al maestro Antonio Carrillo Vilchis, rector de la Universidad de las Californias Internacional (UDCI), que es una de las universidades que ha formalizado su alianza con el CECUT y, desde luego, al numeroso público que asistió al arranque del foro “Hablemos de lo nuestro”.

A su vez, María Novaro agradeció la hospitalidad del CECUT para albergar este foro que busca entablar un diálogo con quienes hacen cine en el país y cuyo “objetivo es que todos conozcan los programas y apoyos que están disponibles para realizadores, productores y distribuidores. Queremos que se desarrolle muy fuertemente la cinematografía y el audiovisual en todas las regiones y esta es una primera reunión en el noroeste, pero lo haremos en el resto del país”.

Explicó que el IMCINE gestiona tres instrumentos básicos de apoyo: el Fidecine, el Foprocine y el Eficine, que han dado muy buenos resultados para que crezca el cine mexicano en números nunca antes vistos, ni siquiera en la época de oro, que era algo así como la quimera de cuando se hacía mucho cine en México. “Y en parte esos tres instrumentos han llevado a ese resultado, pero lo que está pendiente es que eso se haga en todo el país y que nuestros cineastas, dentro y fuera del país, hagan uso de esos fondos y se desarrolle el cine más regionalmente y en donde quiera que se encuentren”, manifestó Novaro.

Para ello, Mónica Luna, directora de Vinculación Regional y Comunitaria del IMCINE; Diana Martínez, directora de Apoyo a la Producción; Yuria Goded, cabeza del Eficine; Fernanda Río, directora de Promoción al Cine Mexicano, y Juan Carlos Ayvar, responsable del programa de cortometrajes, explicaron los distintos fondos que están disponibles para los realizadores del país y la forma en que pueden acceder a ellos.

“Lo que buscamos”, aseguró por último la directora de IMCINE, “es que cada región tenga su voz, hable de sus cosas, y hagamos crecer al país en esta Cuarta Transformación”.
